Founded in 1972, the Newcomer Club of the Foothills is a non-profit organization for the purposes of welcoming new residents to the area, promoting friendship and acquainting members with the history, culture and civic opportunities of the Foothills area.
Membership is open to all persons -- couples or singles -- living in the general Foothills area, which is comprised of Clemson, Fair Play, Liberty, Mountain Rest, Salem, Seneca, Six Mile, Walhalla, Westminster and West Union. Anyone wishing to become an active participant in the many interest groups and events the Club provides is welcome to attend Club meetings.
The Club sponsors an Orientation Meeting each August. General meetings are held at 9:30 AM on the first Tuesday of each month, September to May. No reservations are necessary.
